Stainless rivets maybe? How tight is the can attached? It's vibrations that are killing the rivets, most likely, so little things like silicon sealant on the can ends, tighetning up the hanger, etc, could possibly make the difference.
How does the centre pipe fit? Welded into one end, loose at the other? Does it taper at all? That was teh fiddliest bit of shortying mine and Matt's cans, the centre tapers and so when you shorten it, it stops fitting. FWIW, my can is held together with 2 rivets at each end, though it was designed for 6 each, and it's fine, just because it has hardly any movement in it, so it doesn't shake itself to bits.

Throw the can in the bin and get a proper one, you get what you pay for!!

...or you could do that
![]() If it's any consolation, one of my full systems cost £100 and the all-titanium one was £250. The twin full system I had before was £250 and I sold it for enough to nearly pay for all 3. No, wait, that won't be a consolation at all ![]()

Yes but Viper is complete tat, less than £50 trade for an alloy round can and if you take a new one apart there's not enough wadding to fill half the can, the end caps dont fit very well (hence rivetts fall out).....As I said you get what you pay for

Not disagreeing with you at all there. But they can be improved on, end cap fit can be sorted with 5 minutes and a £1.99 roll of exhaust tape, for example. Whether it's worth it or not is really down to Suz, I doubt I could be bothered.
