Default Rearset on eBay

Been looking on ebay for a replacement R/H footrest hanger, footrest and rear brake lever and spotted these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 yesterday bid upto £100, and got called away from my desk so missed the auction end!! I've now been offered a 2nd chance at £100. Stupid question as i'd already bid to £100 anyway, but are they worth it or should i keep looking for a standard one?

Cheers

Chris

the second chance offer means the winner pulled out or couldn't pay, so thats why your £100 still stands

as for their quality and worth i would know, how much is a real one?

I think, that the guy who was selling may have been biding them up with a 2nd account, as the account was created 2 days ago, and has bid on nothing else, also the 2nd chance offer was issued about 5 minutes after the auction ended at £100 (which was also my highest bid) with the reserve not met. I don't think that the seller would have had time to contact the winner and receive a reply!!

New they are priced at $399.95 on the vortex website.

I was willing to pay £100 anyway (on impulse as we all do with ebay) but was just asking for opinions as i've got 2 days to accept the offer.

Cheers

Chris

get them then for £100 i doubt you'll be dissapointed, and even if you are stick them back on eaby and start them at about £80 and see if anyone'll take up your offer

If you think he was bidding up on his own auction I would tell him to poke it on principle.Wait till he relists it then be wary of the same scam.

Thought about that, but don't want to cut my nose of to spite my face!!

I need to replace my damaged R/H one before i can MOT it so think i'll probably buy it when he responds to my email about collection.

Thanks anyway

Vortex clipons have a fair rep from the SV Rider guys... A lot of their stuff seems to be utter garbage, their sprockets might as well be made from paper plates apparently. But there's a good number of people using the rearsets who're happy with them. and those are very, very cheap...

Wouldn't automatically be a problem, but even for a small risk is it worth not just using bike stuff?
