Default Bike to work!

Brought my bike to work for the first time today.

Isn't it funny how the work force can be split into 3 groups;

1. Those who don't know bikes therefore couldn't give a damn.

2. Those that have a bike and comment on how nice your bike is altough they ride something amazing anyway........

........ and then.......

3. The bunch that slate it, saying they'd have a thousand or 1300 anyday and that my bike is Puny!

This very same bunch either, don't ride, aren't allowed a bike by their missus or can't afford one due to their CSA payments, smoking, drinking and drug habit.

Ring any bells????????

Yup...

Beat a Bandit 12 Home everday for a week before he admitted it was a good bike .

Loads of twisties and tight bends... not many places to straightline for more than 100mtrs...See you in the mornin mate \/

You forgot group 4; old boys who had a bike 40 years ago and haven't ridden since, but feel compelled to tell you that old BSAs and Triumphs were much better than this "new Japanese crap".

What about the group that constantly remind you that bikes are a danger and you should use a car instead?

And the group that laugh at you as you don the leathers (and waterproofs on the rainy days), then insist on on refering to you as Darth Vader, it may have been funny in 1977, but its getting a bit thin now

I've had loads of people asking me about my new bike... depending on who's asking I have the following answers ready
1. Stock curvy SV650S with lower fairing fitted
2. A "SUZUKI" "SV650"
3. A blue one!

Luckily about 15% of the workforce have bikes (do Harleys count? )

Ah yes, they also gleefully say, "it's drier in a car" when it's raining. At which stage I point out that my waterproofs don't leak at all.
