BMF peterbourgh - SV650.org

I am planning to go to the BMF in peterbourgh, i have never been before and i was planning on camping over night.

My mate reckons only BMF members can pitch a tent, is this true.

Is the night time entertainment any good, BMF web site is not a lot of use, no real info.

Any body here going.

I will probably go (depending on funds) but as this is my first time to i cant offer any info, sorry. I am going with my local motorcycle club and as we are back at work tommorrow (BOO HISS SNARL) will source some info for you.

Your mate is correct, Jayjay..............only BMF members can camp, and the pitches are usually all booked well in advance of the BMF rally itself.

The event is well worth visiting for the day though. There are normally over 1,000 stalls and real bargains are available. I got a Frank Thomas goretex winter jacket............normally over £200.............for £40 a couple of years ago.

We'll be there on the saturday. It tends to be slightly quieter, and if there are only a limited number of certain items, they will be gone by the sunday. The sunday, however, can be better in some respects as the stallholders do sometimes drop prices ridiculously low just to get rid of stock and not have to carry it away with them again.

Will be going in the car, bit awkward to carry stuff on the bike. Maybe a meetup there.

We'll be going on the bike, but several of our friends are taking cars and have offered to carry home anything we buy.

We'll be travelling there on our own, as we plan to get there early, but it would be nice to meet up for lunch with anyone else there.

Yeah, i just fancied the idea of staying over night, try out my new tent, get drunk you know. But i will definitely still go for a day, probably on the Saturday so if any one wants to meet up for lunch as Lissa suggested then we should set something up.

I use my bike for work a couple of times a week (When i have to go to London) i try to get out at weekends as much as i can, usually tell the misses I'm going to blockbusters or something but take the long way

I've got an 18 month old daughter and Misses jayjay is 3 months pregnant so it's not easy to get as much as i would like.

KciN we will have to set something up, go for a blast one weekend seeing as your in Luton and all. are you going up to the BMF peterbourgh???

I want to go somewhere this year and camp over night at a bike related event, how about the bull dog bash?

I thought anyone could camp - BMF members just get a discount!

I will be there all weekend, I am marshalling friday afternoon so wave if you come in then. Quite often you can get tickets on the gate for camping - people come with tickets that they brought and people can't make it, so we sell them for them. No promises but might be worth coming along with ya tent if your only in Luton! Your welcome to join us if you do come!
