Default Got me stumped????

(Well for a while anyway)

Now for a couple of months I've had an issue with the rear lights, one tended to flicker a bit, sometimes on sometimes not as these are the 19 grouped led bulb replacement ones it's unlikely all 19 leds have gone at the same time, classic wiring or corroded bulb holder problem, and as you do, though I'll get around to it, Friday the other bulb stared doing the same thing (no rear light 2.15am ) anyway, bit of a wiggle of the wires and I got one going, good enough.

Whilst watching the GP, I gave in to the offer of free beer and had 4 or 5, so my plans for this afternoon had to be cancelled (supposed to be on the bike), so though I'd remove the rear loom and give it a dam good clean, did that and to be honest it wasn't bad at all, but maybe enough to cause the problem, before re-fit I plugged it all in to test and it worked fine, wiggle the wires around, not a flicker, sound.

Re-fit the loom, mount the grab rail, fit the bulbs in the housing, one isn't working ?
Take them out, both working? Wiggle wirers again with a bit more effort, no both still working fine?
Re-fit into housing, now the first one's working but the other one's not, what the f*ck

Now the housing is plastic, so can't have anything to do with the connection, I've buzzed out all the wiring and the multi plug, which showed no problem, the bulb holders are clean and pinched up.

I've sorted it (I hope) now but can you guess what it was?

Cheers Mark.

well as nobody guess here it is.

I was the leds, not them selves mind, but the board they sit on both were cracked, I had to brake the plastic holder bit, get the board out, bridge the cracks, then super glue them back together.

as these are the ones I had fitted to the sv I can't really complain as they must have covered 200,000 miles or so

mightnbuy some new ones if it doesn't hold.

Cheers Mark.

Pete, if I'd wasted money on one of the ( all the rage now) compination stop/tail/turn units you could have been right,
