Default Engine oil

Hi

I have a 2000 Y-reg SV650S. Can someone tell me how to check the engine oil, I have lower fairing is this obscuring the gauge? I do not seem to have a dip stick!
Also can you tell me service intervals? Mine has done 7500 miles.

Cheers

H

I think you've put this in the wrong section (exhausts), but I'll answer it anyway.

If you have the Suzuki lower fairings then there is a hole in them, just at the right point to check the oil level when the bike is upright. It is a bit of a pain, but it is there.

If they're not the Suzuki lower fairings, then there still should be a hole in the right place to check the oil level anyway, but that depends on the manufacturer.

You can do the check yourself, but if you're not confident in keeping the bike upright, then get a mate to help you.

A.
