Default My nasty noise - talk a listen

I've posted on here about a nasty noise and people didnt seem to take it seriously lol.. 'oh they all make that noise' etc...

Well I've taken a sound clip on my phone, and while it makes the sound a bit metally, when really its a grinding noise, I think it reitterates the possibility of a major f*ck up on my bike...

By the way it says cam chain cos thats my guess. Hope this works!

I know nuffin', but It don't sound good! Why do you open a book on it? I'm going with a broken piston ring as it sounds a lot worse on the over run than when under load. But as I said, I know nuffink..I wouldn't ride it tho....

Cam chain issue I think. Or possibly valve shim. Hard to tell as my bike's never made a noise like that.

Cam chain is my guess. I had the shims redone 2.5k ago, on my complete service.

Will take it back to the same garage see if I can get them to look at it for me.

Get a long screwdriver, put the blade against the engine and the handle at your ear. Yo'll be able to feel/hear the vibes where they're actually coming from.
A mechanics stethoscope would be boss, but a short section of tube can also be used just try not to go deaf in the process.

Were you under water when you recorded it? Perhaps you've flooded the engine
Sorry, I'll get me coat.

Took it to my uncles shop and the mechanic had a listen, says it has a bit of resonance in the can, and to leave it and if it gets louder, he will use a stethoscope to find out where it is.
