Default Service bits

I'm looking to get some bits so I can service the SV. I'm after front/rear brake pads, oil & filter and sparks plugs.

Could anybody recommend an outlet either a shop (south london/surrey area) or a website where i can get some stuff.

Its for a 99 SV650s

cheers

You should be able to get it all from Hein Gericke or Halfords TBH mate

Hein Gericke are still doing their buy the semi synthetic oil and get oil and air filter free (subject to the shop having em in stock) deal. Motul oil, so good brand. Well worth it. Saves you 20 odd quid.

OK, you are looking to do your rear pads on a 99 curvy. Now I hope you have been looking after the pad retaining pins in your rear caliper and given them a weekly bath in copper grease or you may have fun.

whilst the bike is still on the road assuming it is your only mode of transport, may I suggest that before venturing into the cess pit that is the SV650 braking system, you invest in a couple of new pins (Should cost about £2.50) a sharp drill and a suitable pin punch

Thier plugs aint exactly cheap. i managed to get them cheaper from a local motorfactor. But i was there at the time and didnt have to faff around. I think HG are about £6 a plug, where as i paid £3 a plug. The other parts are good though, the filters etc, that is. Thier pads are also good. Being made by carbonne lorriane and are on par with the likes of Double H's from EBC.

Does anyone rate Ferodo pads? I was flicking through the Demon Tweeks catalogue and came across their brake pad pages. I have only ever seen people here using EBC or Carbon Lorraine. Just curious - for future ref.
