Default Two-up or Solo?

Just wondered what the majority of people on here did, solo or two-up riding?

Pete and I go everywhere together. In fact, out of the last 50,000 miles he's probably done less than 1,000 riding solo.

So what about you? What proportion of your riding is two-up, if any?

About 10% of the last 25k miles has been two up. We mostly go for cross country trips, though, since it takes ages for The Redhead to get suited up.

Very little two up these days.I used to take my boy to race meetings and other events, but as he now rides his own SV------I'm feeling old all of a sudden.

I've done maybe 50 miles total with a pillion, but I don't enjoy it at all... U think part of the reason I took the pillion pegs off was to stop people asking... "I would, but look, no pegs..." I hate having another rider follow me too, makes me really selfconscious.

It used to be more because I didn't want to have the responsibility for a passenger, but that doesn't worry me so much now... Since I'm officially no longer a Danger to Traffic

I don't like being followed either, but that's probably my paranoia.

Solo, I'm not insured to take pillions and I think I might struggle with the extra weight as I'm a shortarse and can't get both feet flat on the ground.

My bike came before the current gf, so it's not to get away from her, but she does understand if I want to go out on the bike alone.
She's probably glad to get me out of the house, to be honest.

I got a bike so I could go and meet people.. but they all have bikes.. and ride away quickly.... so I had to get myself a quicker bike

usualy have a seat hump on there instead of pillion seat, as I rarely take pillions.. no bugger wants to go on the back with me! but my seat hump took a trip down the road unatached to the bike on sunday...
