hey all.
Went for a ride yesterday to J&s at New Malden, then went to see old flat mte at Crawley. Came of at J10, around roundabout, stopped at light then proceeded forward into the left hander...then it all went wrong. Back end gave way, regained somehow, breaked, biketood upright, lost control and went into the Barrier, ending up nicely hugging the upright section. Bike front end areal mess and i'm busted my left side again. Question: If riding on the motorway, would the temperature of the both sides of the tyre be dramatically reduced? just wondered as when i came into the corner and i cranked it over the heat would be in the centre part of the tyre, and the outer cold would that crastically effect grip. Anyhow. will get bike back and see what the insurance co says. Thats me done with bikes. IMHO dont think i'm that good a bike rider. What I will say is that I spent 450 and bought the Tricky leathers from HG several weeks ago, good armour, i really beleive it saved me from more broken bones. To all on this site, thanks for accepting me into the fold, had some good nights up at soho, thanks to Riz (Ness) for letting me tag along too. But wish you all safe riding and mind out for the ****s on the road. laters rubbamonkey Still flexible, still smiling. |

Sorry to hear that but glad youre relatively ok.
Re a decision about bikes, all I will say is dont make a decision in the heat of the moment. Wait a bit then decide. Some will say give up, most will say dont. Whatever you do it has to be your decision. If you dont think youre a good rider - firstly, dont let that be decided by accidents [trust me, Id be a damn site worse than you if I did that ![]() ![]() End of day, its your decision. But dont make it based on the heat of the moment and dont assume you cant develop your skills and get advanced training to improve so you dont come off. lyn xx |

Bummer. Roads are rubbish, deisel/oil everywhere. Very easy to come off even if you are doing everything correct. Realy i should be off the road considering the ammount of accidents ive had, but im not, i have considered it though but the pull was too great.
ps. If you want some front end peices i have nearly a full front end from my bike.
