Default Help....Chain Snapped Metal Thing Broke

Hi,

Hopefully I can get some help here. My chain snapped the other day and I came to sort it out and I realised that a metal rod from the clutch mechanism has broken. Does anyone know what this Rod is and if I can replace it with ease.

SV650S K4

Many Thanks

Pete

Is it the one that the clutch mechanism pushes against to operate the clutch?

Item 15 on this Fiche

If I remember correctly it will set you back about £8 from a dealer. Or at least that is what they quoted me.

Any idea how to remove the broken bit which is still connected to the clutch? Or should it just pop out?

I don’t know if it’s the same for the SV but when the chain on my Thundercat broke it took out the link rod as well.

The remains of the link rod just pulled out and I replaced it with a new one,
check the condition of the oil seal !

hi m8y. if its the same as my old thundercat you may be able to just pull it out with a magnet , if not side casing off the other side of the engine, got mine out that way . oh and its called a clutch push rod if i remember right.

on the old sv it falls out of the external clutch mechanism realy easy, but if it has snapped off inside then ohh eck,,, i think a long thin maghnet should do the trick..

i went though one aswell... 180 miles away from home...
hope all swell
