I see he had no cators..

do youhave to have them??
or if they are on is it that they have to work..so if u aint got any u ok?

or maybe he pops some on for mot..

would YOU be happy riding with no indicators?

Pretty sure that if you have them fitted they must be in a working condition, but I don't think it's law that you HAVE to have indicators on a bike.

if you remove them including the switch then the bike will pass an MOT but it will still not comply with the construction and use regs which the police use.

the great fact is though if you get stopped and get given a vehicle retification notice then when you take the bike to be checked out it will be fine even though you havent had to put the cators back on

Some of the mini ones - I dunno how people see em. I like my big clumpy ones, pride don't keep out the cold.

Road bikes registered after 1/08/1986 must have indicators, this is MOT and Old Bill Security Company applicable.

Slightly different for off road but MOT applicable bikes.

I've seen a bike without indicators overtake a police car and he just used hand signals to "indicate". The police (who didn't seem in any great hurry; just cruising the motorway at 60mph or so) didn't pull him.

If your bike has one seat and no back footpegs they you do NOT need indicators for MOT or police, if it has 2 seats and back footpegs then it must have indicators. If you take the back footpegs off i think you can get away with it to.

Only reason its l;ike this is because when your by yourself you can hand signal, but if you have a passenger on the back you need both handles on the bars.

???

Why would need both hands more with a pillion? I think it would be pretty difficult indicating right with or without a passenger.
