Before i took the bike for its MoT it needed a bit of fuel, being in a hurry i accidentally fuelled up with £5 of diesel
![]() ![]() Now my dilemma is it better to ride the bike around till its half emptyish and then fill her back up with PETROL. Or syphon what fuel is in their and then refuel?? |

unless you can dilute it with lots of petrol. I would be more inclined to drain and refill

A friend did this on the way to BSB at Cadwell recently - so you are not alone!
![]() We see it a lot at the car dealership and I would suggest you remove the contaminated fuel and re-fill the tank. After a good run, the engine should be back to normal. Tenner says you'll never do that again! |

can you drain a further half out of your tank then refill,
and when you have run that down put the half you drained back in a refill I think you will probably be ok at that, as long as your not going to thrash the balls out of it and ride sensibly until you feel its washed out of the system. diesel as you are peobably aware explodes on compression without a spark so could do a lot of damage as on compression with no spark it could ignite. i would imagine this would not be in the best intrests of your engine TBH |

Drain is preferable of course.
