Default Metz Z6 - mileage?

Anyone got reports of mileage out of a Z6 on the rear for me? I've only got about 5K out of mine before I've had to replace it due to two nails in it. The tyre probably had only another 500 miles or so left, so plugging (again) didn't seem worth it. A bit short of the 13K miles reported by Rictus!

Done 4000 on mine and its still fine, even after a few burn outs! Got a mate who works at a tyre fitters too and he rates them. Says they last ages and even though they arent the grippiest tyre ever made, are more than good enough for on the road and not a bad track tyre.

Mine is on about 6-7000 now... Hard to say for sure since I ran an Azaro for a while in the middle on the other wheel. It's still got a way to go too. I'd expect to be knocking on 10,000, I don't expect 13,000 though.

Front and back are at 9000 miles on mine with no handling issues at all. Good in all weathers and temperatures.

..got a puncture in the front one a coupla days ago so going to have to replace them. Still a few thousand miles left in the rear, but figure I might as well get them both changed at once. Trying to decide between Z6's or Stradas...

Which one is cheaper? Which looks nicer? Get that one Stradas probably get you more street cred because of the Diablo logo, but I don't like the tread pattern myself.

northwind did you say that you used to run bt020 somewhere, what did you used to get out of them?

It would be good to have a comparision from the same rider

Cheers

Mine is well and truly sh@gged after about 5500 miles (the last 900 were going on the norf/sarf at the weekend!). Some huge cracks in it, and a plug after getting a puncture on Saturday. New Z6 going on tomorrow (£109 fitted) :-

I got a rear wheel with an 020, but I don't know what miles it's done. Not a bad tyre by any means, bit less good than the Roadtec when pushed was all.
