Default help fitting a tom tom rider - any ideas?

Hi everyone,

Its my first time posting on this forum and already ive got a problem!

Ive got a K5 SV650S, which is great and have had it for about a year.

Just bought a tom tom rider sat nav and its a real pain to try and fit with the kit supplied, seems to not suit any sports bike style layout.

I have e-mailed tom-tom today to see if they have/sell another kit and are waiting for their reply.

I searched this forum and have seen past posts on this, just wondered if anyone who has the kit supplied has managed to fit it and how?

From what ive tried ive seen that:

The handlebar mount wont work as no room to fit it and the top yoke is too wide/flat

The handlebar adaptor will not work as the bars on the bike drop downwards it looks like the tom tom unit would hit the fuel tank when the bars are turned.

The mirror mount is not possible to use as mirror stalks on the bike are not tubular but flat so not possible to use this mount.

Adhesive mount can only be used on the top yoke and when placed there the tom tom screen would not be visible as it would point downwards towards the fuel tank.

Hope this makes sense, the unit itself seems ok, just the "universal" mounting kit seems to not be made for sports bikes/sports tourers which seems insane to me!

Anyway rant over, any ideas would be great otherwise i'll take it back and resort back to my useless map skills!
