Default In praise of the NHS

Wifey found a small lump yesterday. Panic. Called hozzy, this is the Princess Royal Hospital at Telford. Got an appointment for today. Saw the registrar, she said it was nothing, she called in the consultant, and he confirmed registrar's opinion. All sorted.

So from discovery to seeing consultant in less than 24 hours. What a terrific service this is, that women can call and see the consultant in under a day. Far better than on private.

Gold star to the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford

Yep!

I know they can be cack at times, but they do come up trumps when they have to.

Nice to hear some praise for them and glad everything came out in the clear. It's good to get a quick result.

Good to pass on good stories... We're all quick to criticise, but not so fast to tell anyone when it goes well. You're never going to read in the Sun "Woman gets great NHS service".

Good result on the test too, not nice to get a scare like that.

It wasn't a part of your anatomy was it?

Reminds me of the little lad at the zoo with his mum, asking what the thing was hanging underneath the bull elephant. Mum (embarrased) says "Oh that's nothing, ask your father".
Lad then finds his dad and asks the same question. Dad asks what mum said.
"She said it was nothing."
"Ah, yes, well she's been spoilt.

Seriously though, glad everything's OK.

glad to hear she is ok and about some good service for a change - pity the wait to see a neurologist can often be many months though

Glad to hear everything is fine.

As to the NHS I've not had to need it for anything significant but all told I've always thought the NHS was great.

Cheers
Ben
