That's probably the easiest way to replace it.

Blimey. By the sounds of it, it was wound out too far or its been hit. A new adjuster should only be a couple of quid from suzuki and if maybe the lever pivot as well.

Mine snapped soon after I got it - I think it was caused by the routing bending it when bars were on full lock.

Never snapped again since I replaced it though.....

that's not the clutch adjuster, it's a cable adjuster, the clutch adjustment is under the sprocket cover

cheers for the replies chaps.. have sourced a new cable screw thingy. still cant beleive it though. the cable could easily have popped out while on the move which would have been interesting.

Funny thing, found mine snapped on sunday, I don't know when it happened but I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that when I put the bike in the garage on saturday. Like you I'm guessing it had something to do with the cable's casing when on full lock.

Went to my local mechanic (I could say his name but it wouldn't be of much use to you), he popped one out of a broken lever he had laying around, installed it and just sent me on my way with a freshly adjusted clutch and without a trip to the cash machine.

Viney, mine had about 5 mm out of the adjuster when it broke, I don't think that's too much...
