Default SV400 fairings

I'd like to know if these will fit straight on to an SV650? If no, how much trouble would it be to get them to fit?

Cheers

Pm your question to Rock, she will tell you she paid extra for 400 parts that ended up to only fit 650 without slight cutting - I think!

Your answer is yes, absolutely, they fit. However, SV400 fairings (or at least, older ones for sure, maybe newer too) have one less tab on the front side fairing, and one less corresponding hole in the centre fairing. This means 650 ones won't fit into 400 fronts without a little simple cutting (like Rock found!) and also makes gettigna good fit just slightly fiddly sometimes. They don't tolerate a slightly bent subframe as 650 ones do for this reason, the 650 ones have just a little more rigidity (one of my side panels is off a 4, and it's a hassle to get it in the right place sometimes)

Also, the centre rear plastics are different (again, on older ones for sure, maybe not newer)- the 650 has the cutaways for the grabrail, the 400 doesn't. Tidier if you want a single seat, but obviously restricts your options rail and luggage wise.

Thankyou very much. Just what I needed to know. The rear plastics on mine are fine but could do with a bit of paint.

Will 650 headlights fit in the 400 fairings?
