Hi foks

I've decided i need an sv for racing , comuting and a bit of distance work.

I intend on gettin a crash damaged injection bike and putting some gixer forks on and maybe a big bore kit.

I currently race supermoto but fancy another bike too.

What do you think of my current ride?

Its got the usual stuff, slipper clutch, billet 4 pot caliper, talon excel wheels, race rubber, micron serpant system, high compression piston, ported, polished, knife edge rod, hm racing suspension.

It goes well but i like the idea of a road bike too.

Welcome to the site, if thats usual stuff then ill take one please

TBH your better off buying a better spec'd bike before doing it up, the big bore kit and gsxr front end will cost money which could of been used to buy a better well equipped bike to begin with.

Just my two pence though the SV is a great bike as everyone here will agree

Hi

Anyone know how much you can get a crash damage bike for. I'm decent with a spanner and did all the work on my bike apart from the tuning stuff.

I'm looking to get something built up over next few months.

What year/model are you after?

Best bet is to trawl through the for sale section

I forgot folks, cards behind the bar for beers all round.

I want a bike that is quick (not rocketship quick) but the main priority is handling.

I was looking origionally at a prilla rs250 but fancy on of these and an attempt to make it handle.

Price wise i'm expecting 2k at end of month, hoping to get a crashed bike with mangled front end/fairings for 1000-1500 then 500 for trick bits and front end.

Is that realistic?
