Default 650 pipe on a sv1000

Hi there,

I was wanting to know if the 2 into 1 pipes on the sv650 would fit on the sv1000.

I know the head size would be different but would it work going from the 1st join?

Cheers for any help and sorry for the maybe basic knowledge of how my bike works.

Cheers
Matt

I think they are a different diameter pipe, that's only going off looking at my mate's thou and my bike.

I have twin Youshi cans at present but wanted something different. I was even loking at the underseat finish to make the bike look different from the many others.

I've seen an SV Thou with a custom M4 system on it that was only a single can.

I would think you're better off selling your Yoshi's and then using the money to get something like that.

Fair enough. As fizz said, id get rid of the Yoshi set up, and trundle off to somewhere like Zorstec, or Renegade for a custom made jobbie. The pipework on the thou is bigger and of a totaly different shape than 650 hence why it wont work.

JHS in Bristol do a single pipe conversion for a SV1000.

Not my cup of tea though - I prefer my twin pipes.

Too right! The 2 pipes look, (IMO), much better, especially viewed from the rear!

If I had a thou, I'd be keeping the 2 pipe setup

There was a picture of an SV1R (i think) race bike on the site a while ago. That had a 2 into 1 pipe, Yoshi i think but i could have been a one-off item.
