Default Restricted sv650

Hi all,

I'm after some help. I have a 2001 SV650 that has been restriced at some point and i now want to put it back as suzuki intended!! I've had a look in the inlet carbs and found nothing. I have been told that they can also be restriced by fitting a different ECU. I've heard that standard a standard ECU has one serial number whilst a 'restricted' ECU has another. Does anyone if this is correct or what the relavent serial numbers are?

If so, I am now looking for a standard ECU to fit to my bike (the little black box that sits behind the tail light under the seat). Does anyone have a crashed/scrapped bike that they are breaking??? Or know of a good breakers?

Any help will be great,

Cheers,

Kelv

I thought it was only the pointy's that had ECU restrictions? The older ones done by other means (3 different ways of doing it methinks?)

My 99 curvy is restricted i have been told that its a yellow washer in the carbs.

I dont know much more than that but i am keen to have it removed.

Does any one know a garage or person that could do this in the Kent/SE London area. I have had quotes but there asking for £100 which seems a lot of cash?

Thanks

I've heard of 2 ways... One seems to be just washers restricting the inlet tracts. Another is to use different vacuum slides in the carbs.
