Default SV650 Mods game

Ok guys,

I've got a ickle game for you lot to play. I've a K5 Sv650 curvy that has had nothing done to it yet. It's completely stock. I love the bike and am now in the mind to make some changes - both performance and aesthetic, quite possibly.

The game I'm hoping ye will play is the 'advise the Irish boy what to do to his bike' game!!!

I'm thinking...rear fender eliminator...renegade exhaust...something needs to be done about those indicators at the front...

I kid you not, when I say ANY AND ALL mods / enhancements will be considered. You guys know what you're talking about. I'm sure if I was to trawl through the site I could find info and all the various mods. I'm hoping not to have to do that. Busy busy busy.

So...any advice gratefully accepted!

You need to put a price on what you willing to spend.

That makes sense...to be honest I was hoping people might be able to give me ideas and ideas of costs...or maybe even just rank the mods in order of preference and/or improvement....

I mean the Renes would be big money....to do some smaller jobs like the fender and maybe sorting out the indicators and stuff....£1500 to £2000 maybe....

It might just be easier for people to assume the budget is limitless and just rank the mods and stuff, regardless of price....

Thanks!

Okies

Front springs and heavier oil set up for your weight (£80-100)
Braided hoses and better brake pads (£80)
Different tyres (Metz Z6/Road attacks/vipers/Stradas) (£200)
Exhaust (Renegade is a good choice, plenty others out there as well)(£300)
Rear shock (Get a proper shock(Hyperpro, ohlins), other shocks are just a fudge)(£350-400)

Tart up bits

Indicators (Any, just try not to buy Motrax, they WILL fall apart)(£30-60)
Tail tidy (Hamicad)(£40)
Wavey brake discs(£240 - Trade direct.com or co.uk)
Advanced training (£100 a day)

That should be enough for now

I did think my weight should come into play somewhere. I'm 6"3' and 18 stone.
Braided hoses and better brake pads (£80)
Dealer told me braided hoses shouldn't be an option really till the ones I have are 2/3 years old?!
Different tyres (Metz Z6/Road attacks/vipers/Stradas) (£200)
Do the tyres really make a difference to how the biek feels, ya?
Exhaust (Renegade is a good choice, plenty others out there as well)(£300)
Rene website confuses me...it seems really expensive...I presume when you say £300 that's for a just an end can, and that the higher prices (£1500 and £1200 etc) are for full systems, downpipes etc?
Rear shock (Get a proper shock(Hyperpro, ohlins), other shocks are just a fudge)(£350-400)
Rear shock seems like it chould be very important alright. My weight an issue here too?

Tart up bits

Indicators (Any, just try not to buy Motrax, they WILL fall apart)(£30-60)
Tail tidy (Hamicad)(£40)
Isn't this the DIY one? Seems to look really pretty but not sure if I'm gonna be comfortabel hacking at the bike....
Wavey brake discs(£240 - Trade direct.com or co.uk)
No idea what these are/do....sorry...
Advanced training (£100 a day)
Have done some training already, and do recognise the benefit and need for same!

That should be enough for now
Cheers!
