Default Attn. All Mobile Phone Gurus

Got a Nokia 6280 (software ver 3.70) on 3 and I want to know if its possible to store all sent and received text messages on the mini SD card instead of in the phone memory as theres precious little memory included in the phone. I have a nice 1Gb memory card that could handle a bazillion messages if only I could use it

Also, any reason why the phone would swithc off and reset itself about 20 times a day for a week and then all of a sudden stop? Anyone else experienced this? I think it had something to do with a phantom voice message that I didnt actually have. I got enough texts from 3 telling me that I had one though

All help greatfully appreciated.

1) Pah! B0110cks!!

2) No point. They only either a) flash the software again and put same version on with same problems or b) give me a new phone with same faults. Think they need to update the softward but I cant see a newer version than the one I have yet.

3) Its cheap and has far greater coverage and service than people think. I doubled my allownace of minutes and texts but halved what I pay each month. Show me how you can get that on Orange/Voda etc?

Are you sure it's not possible to store messages on card?
On the 6630 do it as follows

Go into messaging (so you see New message, Inbox etc)
Options
Settings
Other
Memory in use

If that's very different to your phone, sorry for wasting your time.

I dont have the same options on my 6280 Im afraid My mate has a 6630 (think thats what it is anyway, not 100% certain) but he can select where he stores his messages. Thats what got me looking on mine, but no cigar!

The N70 is better, much better phone. I almost came back to Nokia for the N70, but found it very chunky and very plasticy, so stayed with Ericsson for the 2nd year in a row and got me a K800i, which you cant save your messages on the M2 card either
