Default Dirty F*****g Westminster parking attendants

I hate them!!! I stopped right at the end of a car parking bay(inside the line, parked vertically and there was no space for even half a car) for only as long as it took me to go to the reception of the vets(2 minutes) in Pimlico(back roads), ask my question and leave and guess what blood sucking leaches were waiting in front of my bike writing me a ticket. Were they hiding in the bushes or what? What purpose and what inconvenience could I have caused in the 2 minutes I was there to warrant £50?

Has anyone noticed how many parking attendants Westminster has just walking around and causing grief. Still furious at them I took notice for the first time on Saturday morning at 10.30am just how nearly every road around Bayswater/Notting Hill had at least one parking attendant.

Get a velcro numberplate, that way you can remove it when around town.

Oh, yeah they are *******s. I live in westminster, there is no escape. If you are not parked legally, you WILL get caught.

I parked outside my flat over night on single yellows and got a ticket at 08:33am, 3 min after the single yellow came into effect. Just paid the feckers.

I would appeal yours though!

They also took a picture of my tax disk.

I paid it on the same day as I do not know on what grounds I could appeal on. If at least they were required to observe the bike for a minimum length of time...

They can't have police walking the beat but they can afford to have these ticks around every corner. Surely if they keep them around for the purpose of raising funds the police constables could do the same by fining drivers on mobile phones and cyclists running red lights(each offence is worth £30).

Mate it sucks **** and i nearly had a fight with one on Friday of last week cos he parked his crappy little ped right up against my bike. His footrest bit was touching my peg on the right side and so was his mirror touching mine.

I said "C'mon mate, move it please i need to go and thats really bad parking" to which he replied "Dont talk to me like that, i'll move it when i'm ready. You dont tell me what to do"

I was ready to punch his head in but did the right thing an moved his bike myself after asking him 3 times in total to move it.

I'm in the middle of writing a complaint to his bosses as he took pictures of my bike in the bay and he has no right to take pictures of vehicles he's not ticketing. he also threatened to call the police to me as i was being "abusive" towards him.
Apparently this moron thought it was ok for him to refuse to move his bike that was obstructing mine and when i took objection to his behaviour thats abusive.

Some real tw@s out there!!!

Oh, BTW, good thing you didnt appeal as they would never have let you off and you'd end up paying the full £100 fine instead. Ive appealed loads and won a good few so i know whats not acceptable to their ear as it were.

Take a photo of them! Trust me, it really irritates them!

Personally I think they should be strung up and beaten with big spanners!

Spidy, not sure if you are aware, but it is an offence to "prevent a vehicle access to the public highway", so if in fact the way he had parked was physically stopping you from moving your legally parked bike, he's breaking the law........

You may want to mention this in your response.

I'm just glad I don't work in town anymore.....

Thanks Jelly.
Sadly there is a small loophole to that argument (and i only know this cos its happened to me before) and that is that i was already on the highway.

The bike was in a bike bay sprayed onto the road, the road is the highway. So if they wanna be funny i wasnt denied access to the higway as i was already on it. What i couldnt do was go about my lawful business which is also an offence if its done intentionaly i believe.

The rason i know the above? I was parked on a road with no yelllow lines on in London (no i'm not telling where) and when i can back one of the residents had decided to double park right up against my car leaving me no room to get out at all.
When i called the cops they said no offence has been commited other than a parking offence (illegal to couble park) and they were not coming out to deal with that as it was minor.
I informed them that if they got a call in the next few mins about a guy breaking into a white Jeep to ignore that too as it was only me getting in to let the handbrake off so i could push it a little further down the road.

"oh no Sir, you cant so that. Thats an offence and we'll come out for that"
