really, so I can't do it again or go for a ride?
The BF's not secured yet. Another point I would like to remove the foot pegs to positon the can exactly where I want it. Is there anywhere I can get a bracket made up to attach the strap to the foot peg mounting points. Presumably I can't get away without a strap hanger? |

Definately don't try it without a hanger... Any can would be tested by that (Ask Saint Matt) but Blue Flame like to fall apart even with a secure strap, never mind without. I wouldn't even do it for a mile, if I were you.
Your best bet for a custom hanger would be to work out what you want and make a template using, ideally, thin steel- including the bends at both ends. Then, depending on what you want it to look like, speak to a welder or bike fabricator (Streetfighters would be a good port of call here, I like Izax of Newton myself but there's a hundred shops that could do it) The reason you want to use something like thin steel to do the template is that the angles at the ends will be critical- you could use cardboard but it'd flatten out.

Yeah running it without a can can damage exhaust valves apparently. Sounds like a Harley too, which is a bad thing!

My bike sounded the same with or without the can... says a lot about the can doesn't it!

If your pockets are deep enough you can do anything
![]() I reckon part of Blueflame's bad rep for falling apart is that their bracket's really far forward and the can's long (and fairly heavy at the tail end, too, if you get a twinport) which makes it more susceptible to vibration. So if you can move the strap back up the can, that might help.
