Well i dont have a bike atm so apologies for the rambling post,
I live my life by two rules mainly, Live and let live, and treat others as you wish to be treated, I like the way these two rulkes afffect my life, i have yet to be in a fight and manage to resolve any disagreements amicably. However just recently i have realised that imho a lot of people just the ****.. all the time, and abuse other peoples good natue, i know it take a lot off people to make the world go around, but still its beggining to wind me up.. Im not talking the day to day joking taking the **** but serious just being absolute idiots, Take last night for example, we have a garage 100m up the road, it backs onto some houses with a garage court, now it was 8.50 pm, still relativly light and we went to sort kittnes mped out cause it hasnt been used in a few weeks. so i start it up and give it bit of stick to thow the crap outa the exhaust, rode it out around once to make sure the brakes work (20 meters max) and this guy stepped outa his back door and started on about how there are two babies neither side and its late, couldnt i do it though daylight hours etc etc etc blah blah blah. I pointed out that i had only just got in and how was i supposed to know there were babies next door. he didnt want to listen to the genuine resons why i was there doign what i was doing, and really next to a main road is 8.50 late? he shut his door as if to say iv said m,y piece im better than you now fk off. if he had actually come up to me and had bee reasonable and explained the sittuation, without hesitation i would have done as he asked, but by doign ehat he did, he jsut confirmed to me that he is in actual fact a tosser.. i did as requested but never more have i wanted to kick the **** outa sumone for not even trying to be reasonable.... ironic i know but i feel sumtimes people take the **** outa people with good nature, his neighbour is the same midday on saturday when im was working on my bike, she was angry that i was working there.... ![]() Maybee its just another lesson for me in life, and i should leave it be, but currently im highly strung and very stressed and really are ppl like this needed? IT makes me bitter and wanting to change the way i live my life, why should i give ppl slack and consideration when they cant be arsed returning it?? whinge bitch moan... blah blah maybe im just a goodied two shoes and need to harden up a bit to the way other ppl are in life. just gets my goat, anyone else? ps, tried spell chucking but broken... sorry |

Agree totally with you, you can understand the guys reason but he could of been better manored but this just seems to fly over peoples head.
I've had a similiar thing with starting up the bike at 4 in the afternoon and apparently the bike scared a neighbours daughter several doors down. How am I suppossed to know that but they didnt want to seem to talk about it or offer an alternative time. You will always encounter people like this, its the way of the world. Hope things improve matey |

Totally agree as well, with the way of thinking (live & let live etc) and the fact that there are some complete t*ssers around.
I've had a bit of grief from the neighbourhood after upgrading my CG to the SV, but thankfully, both neighbours either side of me like bikes. I like to think that I'm a laid back kind of guy, but some people just have to ram their point down your throat, even if it's not a valid point to start with. I just see it as them trying to make themselves look better (in their own eyes) by ranting at/putting someone else down. If that's what they need, fair play to them, care in the community & all. I have a young family too, so understand what it's like trying to let a baby stay asleep, but generally, if you p*ssy foot around them, they wake up. Make a lot of noise from day 1 & they get used to it. With my almost 2yr old taking a nap, I could be bouncing the SV off the limiter not even 15ft from his open window. I'd still have someone walk 300yards down the road to tell me I'm being too noisy before he woke up! Unfortunately, it's all part of this modern society lark, and everyone living on top of each other. No personal space see. Least, that's my take on it. |

Sadly as far as I can see 75% of the population of this country are ****s.
However I'm going to continue to try and be nice, polite, considerate, respectful of others and their property, helpfull, reasonable etc in the hope that one day other people will actually realise their inconsiderate ****s and try and be better people. So another 36 years of being shat on then. |

Agreed with the treating of children - they will not wake up. |

![]() ![]() Next door's little kid would LOVE to see that many bikes all making noise, some of the older folks that live near me would probably not even hear! ![]() Edit: Thinking about it, next door might not be too happy with me, the poor fella would be so giddy he probably wouldn't be able to eat or sit down for a month! |

Funnily enough the only person thats ever commented on my bike/can is my own brother (who is a biker man and boy).
He came round my house last night for tea, but because I was delayed at work got there before me and was forced to wait outside my house until I arrived. On my arrival he commented "I heard you comming, well initially I thought it was a Spitfire on a straffing run" ![]() |
