Default Pandora, radio-ish

Anyone tried www.pandora.com (personalised internet radio)? Intriguing and seems rather good.
Create stations based on songs you like, a bit of a lucky dip. Up to 100 stations (6skips and hour on each only) for free.
May need a US ZIP code after a trial, but not hard to find one
Nice if you just fancy something a bit different within a loose genre. I'm sure hardcore muso's would find flaws in selections, but not bad. Seems mainly album tracks rather than well know singles.

Oh and it runs on add revenue so works well with Firefox as popups blocked

I have used it and really like it.

According to my 'zipcode' I now live in Beverly Hills, which is nice

try launch.yahoo.co.uk
unlimited skips and it tailors what it plays based on how you rate things compared to other people.
I prefer last.fm for finding stuff I might like, but there's no decent radio stream with that.

I do like it. For example, The Ramones came up with The Long Ryders, Searching For Lewis and Clarke, something I havent heard for years and had on vinyl.
Its a lot of fun.
Havent checked out the yahoo one yet....

Yeah it's a great site. They send you emails too, to let you know if one of your 'radio stations' has been updated with new tracks

Oh, and about the zip code thing, apparently I live at O.C.C. in Montgomery NY!

Haven't tried the yahoo one yet, will give it a try soon...
