R&Gs are probably your best bet mate. I have them but haven't tried them out yet, touch wood.

Also have R&G's. They're a bit ugly. But do the job. Worked a treat. Wasn't travelling at any speed, mind. Heard that if the bike does slide then they have a tendency to snap off.

I had the R&Gs, they didn't perform too well for me so I fitted Motosliders instead, they're not so common over here but the US guys love them, literally never seen a bad review. Bike Jonny sell a similiar (same? copied?) product called Motovation, from memory. R&Gs can be fitted with lower fairings though, so that might be a selling point for you.

It was the price of replacements that finally put me off R&G... It costs more to replace the bungs alone, never mind the bolts, than I paid for a whole set of motosliders, and the bolts are designed to bend in a crash meaning that you'll need to replace them often too. Add to that R&G's ridiculous handling charge and I got a bit annoyed with them- it cost me less to get the Motosliders shipped from the states!

But, I'm quite biased to be fair. I did have the older design R&Gs and they worked brilliantly for me, but they were renowned for unreliability.

Better to have bungs and not need them, than to need bungs and not have them.

A big off will total your bike regardless of what brand bungs you buy. Even the unpopular el cheapo bungs will save you cash from a low speed slide.

I'll be amazed if you can get a discount anywhere. I tried to do a deal with them at the NEC and they would not budge

If money is an issue then get the Motosliders ones. They have good testimonials and are cheaper to replace should the worst happen as well.
