Default Dropped SV650s - likely damage?

Hello

new to the forum. I'm actually off to look at a curvy SV650 tomorrow. It has been involved in a couple of low speed spills so it has some paintwork damage and also a crack in the front fairing. I can see from the pics I was sent that the end of the brake lever is missing . The bike has crash bungs fitted.

What sort of damage does an SV650 normally sustain when dropped and anything dodgy I should keep an eye out for?

Cheers

Dave

tbh you cant really state what would happen in a drop, my advice would be to take someone who knows, but for referance terms
1check for cracks in the exhaust system check condition of the actual engine too, well as far as you can tell, cosmetic damages can be sorted but take a sneaky look at the state of the crash bungs are they worn right down?? good indication of how many spills taken.
check that the wheels are straight too if there was a crash head on the yokes could of taken damage ( aint that so Kwak lol, ) and be slightly bent.
bodywork doesnt really rate that highly but will give you a chance to barter down the price, never agree on a price untill you are sure. and always quote lower than requested price.
hope it helps

- good luck to you

oh and welcome to the forum lol,

Welcome to the madhouse.
When dropped they normally break the ends off the brake/gear pedals which are surprisingly expensive.Check the fork bottoms for gouges and the wheel rims and look to see if the bars are bent.
You are looking at paying rock bottom prices for damaged curvys.

I will give it a good going over when I go over there. Just thought I would check if there were any known weak points, bits of frame etc that get easily damaged.

The exhaust is a twin underseat system so the rear fairing panel has taken the damage rather than the exhaust.

Cheers

Front brake? It'll fail an MOT for that I believe, so knock an extra £35 off the price if this hasn't already been taken into account.

Actually looks like the ball on the end of the front is missing and the rear brake lever is damaged as well from the pics

Cheers
