Was there 2 weeks ago. Had a Bering Mesh Jacket with jeans and was still too hot!!!!

Nobody wears any protection at all down there. It's madness.

As for your specific jacket, I don't have any knowledge- where are u heading to?

I dont think they are the coolest. The ultimate is the BMW Venting Machine. Guys that live in hot places rate it as the best theyve had in general. Probably pricey for one trip tho. I'd maybe try HG Air. Ive a Spidi mesh jacket, nice and cool but not enough pockets.

I got one of these last week:
http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/p...0Mesh%20Jacket
Its pretty cool but the only thing I dislike is that the sleeves are still a bit warm on the inside elbow.
It comes with a waterproof overjacket which can be stowed in a back pocket on the jacket.
It has armour in the shoulders and elbows and a token gesture pad in the bak which is easily replaced by something more substansive.
All in all a nice, good looking jacket.

My Parents live about an hour north of Toulouse in the Lot valley, and we also want to head over to the new Millau viaduct which looks pretty amazing!

If I were you I would wear what you normally wear and suffer in the heat to be honest, never compromise safety.

The bridge (viaduc) is best approached heading south on the autoroute, you get the most spectacular view of it as it rises towards the south end, and it's on a slight curve too.

Carry on for 15km or so and exit at the next junction, and double back towards Millau. As you reach the town take the road off to the left (towards Albi??), and as you head towards the bridge there's a small turning on the left that climbs up the escarpment to a viewing area.

Then go back down and under the bridge itself there's a visitor centre.

Well worth it!

Oh, and then head off up the Tarn gorge..............................

I've got a Spada, or possibly Spidi mesh... I was a bit wary of buying mesh, but it's fully armoured and has extra protection on the main wear spots- it's not all mesh. What clinched it for me was a comparison of where the damage is on my extensively crash-tested FT jacket, with where the extra protection is on the mesh- all in exactly the same places. So that inspires a lot more confidence.

Can't say I wear it very often... My FT jacket is reasonably well vented, and, well, Scotland But it was a very good deal and might come in useful, and on the occasions it's been hot enough to justify it, it's been absolutely fantastic.
