Default American Style, cheep mod session

Here it is, after a bunch of painting, drilling , and sanding.

Sonic springs and oil - 100
636 rear shock - 35
silver crashed lowers - 50
flushmount blinkers - 35
painted forks and passenger pegs - 5

this is the side where the lowers were the most messed up. I think it came out pretty well. And most of the work was done on my hungover weekend days.

I still need to add a plate light and a slip-on muffler. I am waiting to find a crashed slip-on for cheap.

sorry for such big pics

That's amazing!

The black lowers & forks just match the black frame so well. I'd be interested to know if Northwind approves (he doesn't normally lke lowers)

Bike looks in great condition, but how you've got the front, nae the audacity to post those pictures while it still has the standard can on!!!

Oh and paint rearset's black?

And please take the warning stickers off.

stock can sucks, i want a new can, but i am waiting to find a used one for cheap. I have not really bought anything new for this bike. I wanna keep the theme going

Pilot powers sitting in my living room right now, those will be mounted next week.

I wear white boots, so i don't really wanna paint my rearsets.

thanks for all the good words. I painted in my dusty garage, it all came out pretty well.

A black carbon fibre can would go really well with that I think.

Looking pretty good though!

I like it, but I think that the black smoked front indicators let it down, but then I'm biased as I think most smoked glass looks rather 80's I'd like to see it with the indicators either in black mounted further down on the lowers (would need a fair bit of work) or clear / orange indicators.

Other than that I think it's really very cool

Neat job well done.

I'd be double pleased if my work turned out that good.
