Default Bike Accident - Legal help....

Can anyone help me before 11.30am?

Basically, its for my old man. On Sunday he was wiped out by a car at some crossroads. He was on his Benelli too

He's now got over 20 breaks in one of his legs, ripped tendon, cut open arm and aquired a cheast infection. Quite bad, but gets much worse.....

Around 5-6 years ago he damaged his foot really badly in a fall and had to have it all pinned and plated. Sods law, its the same leg, so the whole leg and foot is now pins and plates, and at the time (unknown) he'd damaged his back...

Around 1 year ago his back simply "went" while bending over and slipped two disks. He's been off work for the last 7 odd months stuck in hospital having the disks removed and his spine chisled away. Only around 2 weeks ago he went back to work part time (more pressue from his part being so bored). Now this has happened and he won't be mobile for a good few weeks/months again.

Now theres a chance he won't have a job to go back to as he's had so long off. Now he's fully legal'd up via insurance, but we all know what insurance companies are like, and i've suggested about going private as he's going to encoure massive of loss of earnings, plus the simple fact he was totally innocent in the accident.

Has anyone got any contacts or numbers for motorcycle accident specialist lawyers or any information I can print off and take down to him.

He's VERY low at the moment due to just getting back on his feet, and loosing his pride and joy, so can anyone help? Poor gits stuck over an hour n half away from home as well.

PS, whats the best bike mags out this month as well as im going to see him later...

Thanks

Can't help with legal stuff but I'm sure this has come up before so somebody will be along shortly who can help.

Sounds nasty, best wishes to your dad. Hope he gets it sorted out.

Daimo

Speak the the legal people. They are not usualy connected to the insurance company, so should be pretty impartial. Id talk to them 1st, then if you dont like what they say, then seek a seconda opinion.

I have used my legal protection a couple of times and both been good. However, i will need to look up thier numbers tonight. I'll pm them over. Also worth checking out the legal protection that comes with most household insurance polices.

Best wishes to your dad for a speedy recovery....will he want to join the wonky knee gang?

Give White Dalton a call. They are specialists in personal injury from bike accidents.

I'm currently with a company called White Dalton who after my insurance company wanted nothing to do with the Accident managed to get my bike costs back. I'm still going though the legal on the personal injury front but its getting there and should be a positive outcome as they admitted liability.
They have a website and all ride bikes...
