Default Suzuki are about to announce the SV650Sport.

Just been leaked to me

Hi,

I work for a company that’s doing a few websites for Suzuki GB (watch out for the main motorcycle website in November), and we’re just launching a microsite for the special edition SV650Sport. The website is not quite signed off as final (should be this afternoon), but thought you guys might be interested anyway:

Does the sport mean less spongy suspension though... probably the bikes biggest failing and the first thing track-dayers and racers fix?
It would be more important to me then a full fairing.

Nice deal on the track day insurance though...

Exactly the same except it comes with lowers, seat cowl and insurance.

A way to clear stock maybe?

This is quite disappointing as it doesn't really look like anything beyond lowers, cowl and insurance.

Can't help but think this is a wasted opportunity.

At least it means the decent blue colour's back as an option.

NOTE TO EDITOR: We have 1 x SV650 Sport available for press test with immediate effect.
Wahoo...like we don't know what they're like

Was looking forward, in vain I know , to uprated everything. Afterall it's not like the "S" in SV650S stands for Sport already is it ?

Dunno why Suzuki didn't include usd forks/decent rear shock and a natty exhaust this time. They could have cleaned up!

Compulsary xcess of between £450-£500

Just a way of shifting stock as pointed out. How on earth is it 'Track focused'? Its not even got a race can. The least they could have down was whack on a full Yosi system or similar, blank out one of the headlights, making it a single light, some proper adjustable suspension, and whack £500-£800 on the price instead of the free insurance all over the place.

Sport...Pah!

pffff as others have said, absolutely nothing new, and there are already plenty of people that have just fitted lowers and a seat cowl to their normal svs. disappointment.
