As the title sujects, i am looking for a cottage, with an open fire for a few days, it must also accept a dog.
I am currently searching the net but wondered if any of our South west friends knew anyone or could recommend any. Basically as sad as i am, I am looking at going walking with the other half and the dog..just looking for a tranquile location ![]() Any ideas? Regards Rich |

I stayed in one about five years ago near Strumble head. It was situated on national trust land adjacent to a great coastal walk. Can't remember the name of the cottage but I think we found it in 'Toad hall Cottages'. Trul fab!! No electric/gas - lights were candles & oil lamps, cooker was a coal fired rayburn - great stuff!! We loved every minute of the week we were there...you had to drive thru' Fishguard if my memory serves me correctly...
HTH. Edit: It wasn't Toad hall, but it was something similar - there's loads on the net..

Take a jaunt down to you local newsagents, WH Smiths etc and have a glance at any of the pet owner/dog owner/Horse & Hound magazines. They usually have loads of ads in the back pages for holiday places that will accept pets.
