Its only coming up 3 years old now and its only done just over 7k. Will my rubber lines be deteriorating already or am i just better to get new fluid (i didnt get it done last year

Erm, according to the Haynes manual I have it says replace the brake hoses every 4 years, so you'll probably have another year left. Hopefully someone with a bit more mechanically knowledged will be along to put their view across.
I'm gonna replace mine at 2 years with the brake fluid change. |

Brake fluid change every year AFAIC.
Braided hoses do look good but with the SV's sliding calipers any gains are negligible. |

agreed my bike actually started to stop when i changed the lines...
