After reading everyones opinion of the SP2 and getting an insurance quote
![]() I am now considering this..... ![]() ![]() Its a K4 with 7225miles on it and its up for 5K. I wouldn't be interested for a while so it may be gone by the time I am ready but one of the main reasons i'm looking to change is depreciation. I know that all bikes loose value fairly quickly but SS600's seem to be worse than the 750 gixxer for example. A few questions..... Will it depriciate less than my R6 over the next couple of years? Will it handle as well as my R6? I know it will have more power but does it have too much for the road? (I am intending to do a few more trackdays next year) Is the finish better than SV's? My Sv was looking very used after the first few months despite regular cleaning. Lastly my R6 is mint and its done 5K. How much do you think the difference will be on a trade in? Cheers all |

Oooh a Fizz bike!
![]() Handle like a dream, goes like stink but with plenty of mid range and torque to make riding slowly easy, and they are very comfortable. Wonderful machine for the track. Personally I don't like blue & white Gixxers, but dealers reckon they hold their price better than other colours. If I were to change for another sportsbike it would be a GSXR750, no doubt about it (but I may go for a K6 model as I like the exhaust system). Fizz will be along soon to give you the low down I'm sure. . |

As Jelster said a "Fizz Bike"
![]() I've got a K5 Anniversary, purchased in March 2006, now tucked away for the winter as I dont want the salt to kill it. Its done nearly 9K. I cant answer the questions about depreciation, but I got a stonking deal on mine, I paid £6995 for it in March, the dealer where I bought it has another one with a sticker price of £5995. I'll answer what I can... Quote:

A cracking bike, in the Toothpaste colours as well. A stomping machine. Worth noting that the K5 anniversary in Yeovil although a pretty good price does not have the yoshi can that IIRC should have been shipped with this model. Fowlers used to have one as well, also minus the yoshi.
I can't comment on the 750 but Fizz having lived with one for the last seven months is the ideal source. I very nearly bought one. Have fun deciding, the K5 should not let you down. |

Beenz makes a good point, alot of dealers seem to be selling the Yoshi can that the anniversay came with seperately and then knocking money off the price.
The 750 anniversayr should come with. Tinted Screen. Seat Cowl. Standard can with black / grey finish Yoshi Tri Oval Firespec removable baffle race can. The Yoshi has a blue plate instead of the usual black plate states "20th Anniversary Edition" The ignition key is blue rather than black ( chav stylee ![]() There should be a special plaque on the yokes denoting what number out of the 5000 the bike is. Blue riders seat and pillion seat. Knowledable prospective buyers as Beenz says wouldnt buy without all of the above being in place. The best website for GSXR's I've found is www.gixerjunkies.net

I think you'd be nuts not to buy that bike!
Have a little test ride if you can, see what you think. IMO GSXR's are very good bikes - my old man is on his 3rd one, and has never encountered any problems or had any quarms about the handling, usability of the power etc etc. He's thrashed, toured, rode in the rain, sunshine, hail, even in the biblical rains of Holland on his way to assen. was up for 3399, he eneded up selling it to me for 3200 with crash bungs and 33bhp restrictor kit, k4, 5000 miles, bought that in january, o and delivered same night free |

They're great bikes... If I was getting an IL4, it's be either a 636 (for looks) or a recent GSXR750 (for sense).
