I saw a bloke on the A283 out of Shoreham several times last year with a full sized mountain bike strapped across the back of his bike (not sure what the bike was, I was always too surprized to look at the bike - I almost fell off first time I saw it!).
I guess that's not too legal, but what is the maximum width for luggage attached to a motorbike??
