Default Torchwood

I keep missing it so I watch it via the NTL's free on demand thing for the BBC, but I'm still not sure if I like it or not. It seems very B movie, though I feel as though the plots are a little, well, easy if you know what I mean.
Plus that bloke in it just seems a little creepy... the one that wears the leather jacket, can't remember his name. Is he meant to look as pasty as he does, is there something about him that will be revealed at a later date?

Last sundays' was complete balls IMO.

What happened? What did they do? Erm, watched a few people die, then let a little girl save the world, all by herself. YAY! It was graphically entertaining, but other than that, a little dissapointing, I hope the rest of the series isn't like that.

The bloke, Captain Jack Harkness, is a reference to the new Doctor Who character (the WWII boy that had the gas mask welded to his face because of an alien virus that Jack brought to Earth). In the Dr Who episode, he explained he was from the future, and was trying to trick the good Doctor.

Most of the other characters (Cybermen for example) are taken from Dr Who too, and what do you get if you rearrange the letters in TorchWood?

I think that the Captain has since the Doctor Who episode, transferred to the good side, because of something bad that's happened in his life. Maybe he's an alien, maybe alien technology turned him into a man that can't die & doesn't sleep.

There's only one way we'll find out. Needless to say really, but all the plot of Dr Who is intertwined, so maybe the plot from each episode will later come back (which could be one reason for them keeping technology even though they make sure to note not to use it, ever).

Just my 2p

Ah, you mean the guy that helps out, who no-one really knows his name.

I reckon he's going to die soon anyway, so who really cares?
