Points removal question.

Pre-empting my renewal in January. I've managed to acheive another three points this year(do I get a prize?) but I'm due three points for removal that I got about four years ago.

Anyone know how much this'll cost me without moving house?

Probably not what you want to hear, but when I have been experimenting with quotes (both bike and car) I've found:

Clean - £yyy

Licence + SP30 - £yyy + 5-10%

Licence + 2xSP30 - £yyy + 25-40%

All inlcuding one minor (£1500) single vehicle claim in October 2004, both sets of points accrued in 2004 (August and October), 29yo, 8yrs NCB (Car), 2yrs NCB (Bike), FC, mid-high range insurance risk area.

I think he meant how much to get the license exchanged.
£19 just for removing the endorsements. I think free if you can convince them that you need to change the photo.
I'd just leave them on there, they have a date to show when they're valid till. Unless you're worried about them being used against you if you ended up in court.

Damn early mornings and too much wine last night.

To be honest though, I really wouldn't bother getting the points removed. After three years they're spent anyway, and can't be taken into account if you get into bother with Mr Plod - and although most insurance companies ask you to declare anything within the last five years, you can be damn sure I'll stop telling them after three when, according to the law, they become irrelevant.
