Default Exhaust Question from Newbie

Hello all,

I have recently bought a 56 SV 650 s Sport (faired version)

Am loving it - however I want to release the lovely SV sound some more.

I bought this exhaust as got a good deal from the seller and thought it was worth a go for the price,
but just wondered if any of you could give me any tips on eithering it or what I will need to fit it.

Thanks in advance

yeah it does mate - but I thought I would be able to get a link pipe and being straight through is what appealed to me.

Looking at the pictures though I thought I might get lucky.

What are the differences in exhaust systems from 99 to 56?

the can will be fine but you will need to source a new link pipe, try the for sale section on here.

ok mate - so are you saying that the link pipe doesn't have to be specific to the can, just to the bike??

Correct-ish

Hi

Aftermarket cans, when bought new, usually fit onto their link pipe with a 51mm connection. Now MOST manufacturers for these sv exhausts seem to stick to using this same connection size so any can with a 51mm inlet will fit 'most' link pipes. Only company I know that makes the link pipe DIFFERENT are IXIL and they aren't very common at all. If you have any questions about fitment or if you have found a seller and want to know if the link pipe is correct, please don't hesistate to PM me or email. I may have found a seller already but not 100% sure.

Check your email, your exhaust is getting picked up by DHL tomorrow.

Cheers

Greg
