My car is hardly damaged but it was hit hard...and the bumper is knackered and the boot is scratched possibly bent? fortunately both modern cars with good bumpers,

although my back is sore and giving me grief as i am about to go and sit through 8 hours of meetings... whoopee...

still least its not my fault eh?

May have improved the looks on the back of the car.... why do manufacturers think things like that look good.. just looks plain fugly to me...

though as you said, all their fault, so get it all looked over properly...

Seriously though, b*gger about the car, have to say the Megane had grown on me since the wife got one, but you could almost guarantee that if it was a clapped out old banger you'd never get hit - drive a nice shiny new car and you're asking for Murphy's law

Get it checked fella, all that plastic could hide a nasty surprise further down the line.

i like the car, and it was the best i could get on the company car list, regardless of its fat ass...

its 5 months old and has 3 dents in it and now this... tf its not my car..

as for my back, im not into claiming unless it causes be really problems, i can accept that its part of life (accidents)

the down side it is genuinely getting worse. and the last thing i need is sleepless nights.

My wife, Kamakazy (SV650), suffered a very similar accident and suffered whiplash in her Ford Fiesta (several days later) so do get checked out. She still suffers and this was two and half years ago. She was off sick for a couple weeks and didn't get paid so we looked at National Helpline (no win no fee) just to recover loss of earnings.

They have been great, we haven't had to worry about a thing and they advised that she was entitled to buckets more dough. We didn't go to seek that kind of compo so wasn't worried what the outcome would be.

Third party insurers admitted liability and agreed money. Thats the first part of the tale and in your case would suggest its worth pursuing.

the second part of the tale reveals that the third party insurer, in our case, found out that the driver wasn't covered for the car he was driving so it was referred to the MIB (Motor Insurers Board?) who also admitted liability but getting the money and agreeing the amount and what costs are considered has been a nightmare (well for our solicitor at least). Our solicitor had to employ a Barrister to threaten legal action against the MIB just to get them to answer correspondance. Still as I say we aren't that bothered about it so will just let it roll along. In the meantime the third party driver has legged it, not even sure if he has been prosecuted for offence of not being insured.

If the guilty geezer is insured then well worth the no win no fee approach?.

But don't forget a visit to the quacks as, like the bumper, much damage can be hidden!
