Default Spring problem!

Hi guys, long time no speak!

Anyway, I was wondering if someone could help me. I recently spotted that my rear brake light isn't working, and wondered why as the bulbs are fine. I think it has something to do with the two springs behind the right hand heelplate, one was hanging off (Short and chubby with a plastic cylinder round it) and another is still hanging loose but not loose enough to come off (Long and thin.)

My question is, where do I reattach these to? Are there any diagrams or SV users that have experience in this area of the bike?

Also, why did Suzuki make the SV (Curvy only) ooze sex and make me fall in love with it more and more every day?

Cheers.

The long thin one should attach to the brake peddle and the switch the other is the return spring and should be attached to the peddle and the hanger!

ps and your right they must have been on drugs when they designed the pointy ones

Thanks alot there, very helpful, where abouts on the pedal? On the back of the shaft that connects it to the bike? I think I know what you mean, I won't have to dismantle anything will I ?

There should be a little eye on the back of the peddle if I remember correctly! I can't check mine cause I' fitted rear sets over a year ago.

Any M8 bolt should do to hold your baffle in or a pop rivet to get it through the MOT

I feel exactly the same - and I should know better - Isn't the curvy the most wondrous thing? When I look at a pointy I can feel the corner of my top lip start to lift.

The curvy is indeed a work of art.

Can you take a look at these pictures, I have included;

The spring I took off, the place where it came fae, the longer spring and where it is, and finally what I think the 'eyes' you speak of are, only trouble is, how do I get the springs in there? They don't seem long enough.

Cheers.
