so............. i want to buy a cordless drill/screwdriver because my £4.99 battery screwdriver needs a lie down after just 1 screw

Go for a minimum of 18v B+Q do some good ones I bought there 24v one loads of power and the batteries last for ages I think I paid about £120 for it and £20 for the extra battery. The 18v ones are about £80.

I think it depends, if you're going to be drilling two or three holes in a few bits of wood, then IMHO theres no point spending out for Bosch or Dewalt, its just a waste of money to leave it sat in your toolbox, when a own brand one will do the same job and costs less.
