TL1000S or VTR1000
I know there has been recent treads on both these bikes but i still cannot decide, i want to spend 2 to 2.5k max, i know i can fine early models of both machines for this price,
so should i go for the reliable, dependable (some might say slightly boring) VTR or the more crazy, larey, (some might say not as reliable) TLS

I'd go for the VTR everytime.
TLS is probably better in every way other than mpg, tank range and reliability (the 3 things that I look for in a bike  )

By VTR you mean Firestorm? Not SP-1? TLS over the Firestorm. SP-1 over the TLS.

Depends entirely on what you want it to do. I'd not want a TL to do my commute tomorrow

i went through thinking the same thing
TLS vs FIRESTORM vs FALCO the firestorms small fuel tank put me off, and the front looks a little dated the Falcos Renault 5 looking clocks put me off and the totally useless side stand on them as well i would have still had a Falco though, but the insurance or either of them was ridiculous, so it was between the SV1000s and the TL1000s as they were affordable i prefer curvy to pointy so its TL all the way, as soon as I've shifted the SV that is |
