Anyone been/heard anything about it? Thinking about booking a place on the premier course (the one with CBR5600's not the fireblades). Just want to get more confidence really.

There's a Ron Haslam Race School DVD out on DUKE video. Well worth a look. I got it after some heavy hints at Chrimbo and it's a great disk. Shows you what all the different classes cover and gives a good idea of how the day goes.
We all want to go now................. Garry ![]() |

Yes, did it last year:
http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=71833 Bit pricy but very enjoyable. If nothing else it's nice safe introduction to track riding without the worry of trashing your own bike. ![]() |

Cheers for he info tricky. Did a search after I posted and found your thread. Looks like a great day but I cant decide whether it's a tad too expensive?! I'm also looking at the hottrax academy days which seem good value but you've got to use your own bike

I did the Haslam on the cbr600s three years ago - an excellent day all in all. Thoroughly professional setup, very good instructors, excellent for spectators. If I remember correclty, you get three track sessions, which last about 15 (possibly 20 mins) each. This didn't feel like a massive amount of track time, especially on Donnington (although I was mentally/phsically knac*ered by the end of it!). However, the tuition/feedback between sessions is excellent. You also get the chance to ride pillion with Ron on one of the Blades for about 40 quid if I remember correclty! I'm doing the Fireblade course this year. This was my first track riding experience, and is spot on for this. Alternatively, there is the Suzuki race school at Mallory. I think (cannot remember exactly) that this is a similar price to Haslam, but you definitely get more track time - about 1hr20 when I was there. This was split into about 6 sessions, with feedback in between. The tuition was not as good as Haslam however, and as a 'day out' probably didn't compare to the professionalism of Haslam. From my personal perspective, Haslam was ideal as my first tarck day and Suzuki as the second...... Chief |

I've been discussing doing this with my Bro- yes, a little pricey (and an early start or hotel stopover- more cash) for us sunny Surbitonians. But looks fun!
