Round; sound reverberates better Went through a square tunnel y'day, didnt make as much beautiful V-twin "vrooom!" as a curvy tunnel (curveys again far better!)

Lewes tunnel, not only round but corrugated to bounce all the sound back

Cheers Mark.

I don't know the reason for the acoustics of it, but I find round tunnels "boom" more, whereas square ones sort of rasp (almost as if you're going over gravel). Both sounds are nice, but I prefer round ones (both sonically and aesthetically).

Never come across a square one - why would anyone try to dig a square tunnel?

The side tunnels into and out of Heathrow are quite nice. Made for cars and small vans so are quite small.....

Got it in one. Best tunnel I've ever been through. Vineys end of season rideout 2005 (I think). 20 SVs all clutched in and bouncing off the limiter. Coolgirls bike spitting flames at me.
