Tax & allowances questions...just the two..help please!
I've tried a search on google but it's a veritable quagmire out there...
1. Are there any financial incentives dished out by the tax man etc for people returning to work? (No, I don't mean a weekly pay packet that you can call your own!!  )and... 2. I think there's something about combining earnings to benefit from improved tax allowances (or something like that).  Anyone know about this?It's a bit difficult trying to find out about something when you don't really know what it is you're trying to find out!!

Sorry can't really help with those questions, unless you're thinking of Tax Credits maybe ?
I find the governments own site to be pretty good overall, but as you say you have to know what you're looking for. http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/home.htm There's a link to the budget reports on the front page, and a search function. It does tend to bring up a lot of historical stuff though. |
