Default Is he worth it!!!

A few weeks ago I asked bf to move in with me.... big step, but sometimes you have to be brave!!

anyway, he has decided it is a great idea and we (and the kids) are very excited .... but......

We have 5 motorbikes, 4 bikes, 2 boats, 2 dogs 2 cats 2 rabbits and 2 cars. And thats before we start counting the kids toys!

So we are going to get rid of 2 push bikes, and 1 car, obviously the motorbikes are absolute essentials

My point is, my car is worth the most, so it is going. And I am gutted! My beloved Impreza is to leave. It was my first step into independance and making progress for myself. It handles like a dream (4wd) and kicks ass on any corner (obviously not including 2 wheeled competition!)

Anyway, I can't wait to share my life, my home, and my children with a man that I adore, and I am sure I always will ...... but the forfeit of my car is VERY difficult

Love is Love - a car is just a metal box. With 5 bikes and another car it seems a small sacrifice. If, dare I say it, things don't work out long term you can just buy another box.

what really makes you happy? If its the car rather than him you shouldn't even contemplate bringing him into the family?

yer, yer, yer, think I have fallen for this nonsense too!

Joking apart, I don't care about the car really , but its MY car and I will miss it. Oh I forgot to say that I will now have to drive a honda accord ..... does that put it in more perspective now

I know you say your car is worth the most but how attached is he to his car, it might be worth less but if he is not bothered maybe his car should go and you keep your beloved subaru, this would be a good
Compromise dont you think

Is it wise to lose your car because it is worth more? Should you not lose the car which is likely to lose a greater value over the coming months / years - this may actually mean geting shot of the car which is worth less, but you safegaurd your (and bfs) investment in the longer term.

Er, why do you even have to get rid of a car?

Assuming it's not financial (though with to cars in the household it may actually gain you cheaper insurance), then if it's the space... well, don't you live in a street where it can be parked or something?

And sad to say - once at a certain age, a Honda Accord is more likely to retain a greater value. I mean, it's a Honda.

You're getting to keep the bikes and the BOATS!!! Which are both much, much more important than any box.

Keep biking and sailing!!
