Default HJC FS10 - With the Fighter Pilot Style inner visor - Anyone tried these?

Goood mornin'

New to this forum so first of all, How do! Just wondered if anyone has tried a HJC FS10? They seem to retail between 180 & 200 and have a slick looking "Integral Sun Visor" which is a smaller tinted visor inside the helmet. It sounds as if there's a slide on the rear of the helmet which brings it down when required, and a release button to make it disapear back inside the lid when the sun disapears. Looks like a smart idea but I've got a feeling it could also be one of those gimmicks which is novel at first but then just becomes useless/annoying.

Link - on the drop down options to the right, select "Integral Sunvisor" next to the 'Colour' options bit, this shows you the bit I'm on about...

Also, since many tinted visors are illegal would this bypass the law since it isn't the outer visor and is a kind of replacement for sunglasses?

Thanks in advance, PT6^

Welcome to the madhouse!

The inner visor idea's nothing new - Caberg and Schuberth both also do lids with these built in. I've had a Caberg, and the inner visor was probably the best feature of a good, but not great lid. Can't speak for the HJC as they're not 'my brand', but rest assured they are legal.

Personally though, I like my Arai with a standard dark visor, much less to go wrong and all the money's been spent on protection, not mechanics!

cheers buddy, I never knew the idea had been done before... Think I'd have to try one on before being completely sold on the idea

After wrc63's reply and having read a few reviews for caberg lids, I went to a local dealership in the glamorous area of Huddersfield only to find they had the caberg v2 on offer. 99 quid! Bargain! And it has the integral visor which is practical and hot as! Comfy, decent sound damping and looks smart.

Just ordered a nice new jacket too:

Thanks for all the replies P

p.s. only problem is I'm off to nice for 5 days so I've got a whole week to wait til I can get out on the road again bast.
