Default Chain length...47/16 sprocket combo

Anyone have an idea the number of links that would be appropraite for above combination.

I believe 110 links can definitely be used(prolly just) with a 47/15 sprocket combination and ideally wouldn't like to go more than 110 links.

I'm not sure what the stock length is, but a stock chain will fit on a 46/15. Only JUST mind.

So a couple more links than stock & you should be good to go. Call B&C (even if you don't order from them), they'll tell ya.

Cheers mate but are you are talking about the 'S' model right?

The faired is 108 links so if 46/15 works with that then possibly 47/16 should be okay with 110.

Any other imputs please. Need to get sorted today. Reason I'm asking is I've already got a 47T rear and would like to use that.
For what I use the bike for I'll rather not go 47/15 and don't really want a 112 link chain either.

Ben

ps: Spoke to B and C and they actually said for a 47/15, you'll want a 110 link. That I do know is not really the case IIRC though.

I have 15/45combo on an S with a 110 chain and there is loads of slack. Adjusters just over half-way along with a new chain.

Why not just buy a 112 link chain and then shorten it if you need to! they can't be much dearer than a 110 link one.

Another year older another year dafter

See.....yes I could get a 112 link chain and shorten it but that doesn't help me much if "I'll rather not..."

Argh......*bangs head on wall*.

I don't want to use a chain with 112 links. It's adds too much to the wheel base and also affects the leverage on the shock.
I've used 112 links once when shop put the wrong length in and had to have them shorten it. Believe me , you can feel it. Remember I've talking about standard bouncy bits here.

What's a splitter? I don't need one mate as I use a hack saw
